The Semiramis, built in 1950 as one of the first modern hotels in Damascus, reopened in 2025 as the Royal Semiramis after a complete rebuild under Flamingo Hospitality: 118 rooms and suites in a glass-fronted block at Victoria Bridge in the city centre, with a rooftop pool and sky lounge, a seventh-floor restaurant and a ninth-floor cigar lounge looking over the old city and Mount Qasioun.
