Opened in December 2005 on Shukri al-Quwatli Street beside the Barada river, a 23-storey tower of 297 rooms and suites with several restaurants, an outdoor pool and a spa; Four Seasons ended its management in June 2019 under sanctions on the then owner, and the hotel now operates independently under the Syrian Ministry of Tourism while still trading under its old name.
